Jimmy Fallon posts biggest lead on Colbert

Jimmy Fallon has opened up his biggest lead yet on competing late-night host Stephen Colbert.
NBC’s “Tonight Show Starring jimmy Fallon” averaged 3.63 million total viewers during the week ended Dec. 13, according to Nielsen, No. 1 for the week and well ahead of the 2.37 million CBS’s “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” averaged.
“Tonight’s” lead of 1.26 million viewers over “Late Show” marked Fallon’s largest margin of victory over Colbert in a week of original episodes.
ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” was No. 3 for the week among total viewers with 2.14 million.
“Tonight” also led the week among viewers 18-49, averaging a 0.96 rating. “Late Show” was second with a 0.54 rating and “Kimmel” third with a 0.47.
Meanwhile, in late-late night, NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers” averaged 1.66 million total viewers and a 0.49 in 18-49s, with ABC’s “Nightline” at 1.40 million viewers and a 0.30 rating, CBS’s “Late Late Show with James Corden” at 1.17 million viewers and a 0.34 rating and NBC’s “Last Call with Carson Daly” at 907,000 viewers and a 0.29 rating.
Friday’s “Kimmel,” “Late Night,” “Late Late Show” and “Last Call” were encores.
