Order from Amazon, get it in an hour
December 18, 2014
This takes expedited shipping to a whole new level.
Subscribers to Amazon Prime have long enjoyed free two-day shipping, and now some in New York are getting free one-hour shipping.
Amazon has rolled out Prime Now in parts of Manhattan, a new service where Amazon Prime subscribers can order everyday products such as paper towels, books, toys and batteries, and have them delivered for free within two hours.
For an extra $7.99 Amazon is offering delivery within an hour.
The service includes an app on both Apple and Android devices, and delivery is available from 6 a.m. to midnight seven days a week.
Amazon says it plans to roll out Prime Now in other U.S. cities next year.
